No sense, Just Blues
Part I
I sit here listening
Hearing the blues play over the waves
The suddenly I see a star
A bright and shiny star
In her eyes there is a star
Then all of a sudden she shuts her eyes
And there is total darkness
Until she smiles that bright smile
That moon is smiling like the river Nile.
Part II
You hear, you listen
You see the birds
What birds my friend
What birds he says
The birds above the womans head
I don't see no birds over there
Just look at the woman
You'll see, you'll see
Listen to them chirp
Listen to them sing
What tune they sing
What tune, what tune
The sound of lovers
Singing how high these blues
How high these blues,
Hmm.........
Or could it be How high this moon
With the sun overlapping
those angels eyes
I love the girl until I die
Part III
Could it be
Magic or Birds
or the Jordany
we soon go through.
The journey's long
The journey's short
We need the blues to make it work
It doesn't rhyme
It doesn't swing
Why should it matter
As long as it sings
So to summarize
My little poem
We make it sweet
Nice, Lovely and Warm
